Sheikha Latifa bint Ahmad al Maktoum won yesterday’s World Cup Qualifier at Emirates Equestrian Centre.
The final class of the three day Dubai Showjumping Championship saw Latifa beat the competition by just over 2 seconds in the jump off. The competition had attracted riders from throughout the region with 33 riders qualifying for the class and only 9 making it through to the jump off. Latifa clinched the title with a round of 48.48seconds on her mount Peanuts de Beaufour. Ferenc Szentirmai managed a round on 51.07s closely followed by Ramzy Al Duham with 51.61s.
UAE riders also dominated the Longines Accumlator class with the top 3 placings going to Ahmad Al Juneibi on Ucorado B, Rashid Al Rumaithi on Caisun and Abdullah Mohammad Al Marri on Alaska.
